Hi! My name is Emma Bouchard and I’m a sophomore at Joseph Case High School in Swansea, Massachusetts. Growing up, I proved to be a very versatile athlete participating and competing in multiple sports including soccer, field hockey, tennis, and even skiing. Despite the fact I’ve been involved with athletics my whole life, I had never really felt a connection towards anything I did. Then, I started track my freshman year and there was an immediate spark. I absolutely love sprinting, both indoors and outdoors with a preference for outdoors. I’ve already accomplished things I never would have thought possible like running in the fastest Sprint Medley Relay team in school history, breaking the school record in the 100M, and qualifying for both indoor and outdoor state meets, all in my first year of track. Track encourages me to work, improve, and push myself to the limits every chance I get. It has become my dream to further pursue not only my track career at a collegiate level, but also explore different educational pathways. I take pride in how I’ve balanced both athletics and academics; I have managed to make at least high honors every term all while being a three-season athlete. I would really love an opportunity to develop as a student, athlete, and just as a person in general in a college environment.
