My goals as a collegiate athlete are to continue to become a faster, stronger, and more developed runner in every aspect of the sport. Not only do I want to become a more advanced runner, I want to learn how to properly fuel myself, how to strength train, and how to stay mentally strong and injury free. I believe these goals will allow me to deepen my love for running and therefore, become a lifelong runner. I am a very determined, goal-oriented, resilient, and self-aware person and would love to run for your program.
Along with my running goals, I would like to gain a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. My goal after college is to continue into a graduate program and get a DPT to become a physical therapist. At the end of my junior cross country season I was diagnosed with a stress fracture that ended my season. I was devastated. All of the doctors and physical therapists I worked with helped me bounce back from my injury. I was inspired by them to become a physical therapist and help athletes recover from their own injuries.
