In every sport there are the egoistical ones who thinks they don't need practice, the ones that do it just because it looks good on a college application and others who are actually dedicated to see progression. One might say how much they possess endurance, speed and strength but I believe you have to have a certain mindset to work harder each time. Even though I begun track the previous season, the team became my family and my life seemed to revolve around the sport. Faithfully I went to practice each day ad put my all into it. I would set goals for myself and after each race I would see how close to it I was. Hurdles are my favorite event in which I am also capable of switching legs. I also run the 4x1 relay; there I am the achor but I am also able to transition between each leg and get the baton in both hands with ease. If I am needed to do an event, I will do it.
Assiduous, intellectual, driven are just I few words that I would use to describe myself. In the classroom, I would see myself as an over achiever. I work hard to maintain my grades 90 and above whereas I always get my work on time. I am of the first generation to go to college and I intend to do nothing but make my family and peers proud. There I aspire to be a physician or a surgeon.
A fellow Jamaican once said, " I know i have what it takes to go out there and put in on the track and a lot of guys will eat my dust".
