Sara Goddard '15 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals include becoming a competitive pole vaulter following high school, completing a bachelor's degree in business for my undergraduate coursework, and finally entering a post-graduate dental program. I would make a good candidate for your team for several reasons. I am diligent in all that I do. I maintain a competitive G.P.A. and participate in a variety of extracurricular activities in addition to pole vaulting. I time manage well and am motivated to pursuit greater achievements. One aspect, that makes me different from other recruits, is my ability to adapt quickly. I only began vaulting my sophomore year because someone had mentioned my gymnastics background would be a great advantage in this event. Lacking equipment and coaching, I only just cleared 9 feet 6 inches at the middle of my junior year of the 2014 spring track season. I made my leap to state qualifier with a ten inch personal record at regionals reaching a total height of 10 feet 4 inches. As you can see, I am still an amateur. I am unique in that I have accomplished so much with so little time and coaching. As of now, I plan to attend a winter training and conditioning facility for pole vaulting in hopes to make even greater leaps. I am searching for recruitment specifically for my athletic ability along with my academics.
