- Started in elementary/ middle school at 3-5 days a week, and transitioned into 6-7 days a week in high school. I run low mileage (about 30-40 mpw) during the seasons and 35-45 during the summer. Work is about 80% aerobic with the remaining 20% as interval based training. I do not race more than about 10 meets, normally not doing any more than one event per meet. I focus on form, cadence, and hip and leg strength to optimize performance and efficiency.
