Personal Statement
I started sports at a very young age with gymnastics and continued for eleven years. Throughout that time, I realized that putting in a lot of time and effort really does get you the results that you were hoping for. The many hours I spent practicing led me to winning the level 8, 2015 State Championship in the All Around and Vault, and that really proved to me how important it is to try as hard as you can and always have a good attitude towards whatever it is you want to achieve.
In sixth grade, I began running track for my middle school team. I have been applying the same work-ethic, which led to setting three school records my freshman year, and culminated in an appearance at the WIAA State Track and Field Meet in the 300 hurdles my sophomore year. Being in both sports has taught me about being a good teammate by cheering them on, but also not letting friendship get in the way of competition. I'm hoping to find a school that will benefit me both academically and athletically in the best way possible. I strongly believe that I would be a great benefit to your school and program.
