Personal Statement
Ever since I competed at my first state track meet as a freshman, I knew I had a strong passion for running. Building my confidence further by taking 3rd at state cross country as a sophomore only solidified the mindset that I want to run in college. I have focused on more intense training including strengthening my core, building endurance, and speed and also paying attention to how I am fueling my body. I believe that I can be a positive influence on any team, but I also am a very self driven person and will do whatever it takes to see improvements! I believe in putting in the work, whether as a team or on my own including in the classroom. I consider myself well rounded in sports, academics, and mastering the work/life balance.
