In high school I've not only challenged my self in my athletics but also in my academics. I've challenged my self by taking honors classes and upper level classes. My freshman and sophomore year I've already taken honors English 9 and 10, honors physical science and currently taking honors biology. I'm also currently taking Anatomy. I chose to take this class because I knew it would help me later on in my career in becoming a nurse. Everybody told me it was going to be difficult and that I couldn't do it. But I knew if I put my mind to it I could achieve my goal in passing the class. I always knew that I one day wanted to compete in the college level and as I got more serious about track I realized that was something I wanted to do one day. Since track is over in late spring I decided I wanted to compete all summer. I decided to join the Junior Olympics the summer of my sophomore year, by joining this association I got to travel most of the summer, meet some amazing new people, and also gained a new event! When I competed in my first Junior Olympic meet I was approached by an official who wanted me to try Javelin. From that very moment on I fell in love with the event. I proceeded to place In all three events discuss, shotput and javelin and got to move on to regionals and nationals to compete. Some of my goals I hope to achieve while I'm in collage is to become neonatal intensive care unit nurse(NICU). I've always wanted to go into the health care field since I was in the 6th grade. I've always admired nurse and doctors in general, but I have major respect for nurses and doctors who care for small children and newborns that are in critical condition. I also hope to throw all 4 years in collage and achieve my goal in throwing 170 ft in discuss, 38 ft in shot put and 120 ft in javelin. What makes me different from others is that I never give up, when I say I'm going do something I always get it done no matter how hard I have to work. Another reason I think I'm different from others is I have very good work ethics and I don't give up no matter how hard the workout is or how hard the homework is. I will give 110% in everything I do and never complain when things get difficult.
