Personal Statement

I tried out for middle school volleyball my 7th grade year and I can't say I cared too much for it at the time, but my coach saw a lot of natural ability in me and suggested that I play club ball. I took her advice and as I improved with my club coach's help, I immediately fell in love with volleyball. I've been playing about 10 months yearly ever since. I would like to say I am a great leader, especially on the court, but I am a great listener as well. I am very successful in my academics and anything else I put my mind to, but the main thing that is on my mind right now is getting better at my sport so I'll have the potential to play at the collegiate level. I truly love the game of volleyball and I do not see that changing any time soon.
