My name is Champagne J. Cunningham from Montgomery,Alabama and I am interested in playing volleyball atthe collegiate level. I consider myself a motivated, positive, student athlete;an athletic asset to the my school and club teams.
Just to tell you a little bit about myself. Standing at5’11, I am a senior on my high school varsity team and clubvolleyball teams in the middle position. And, on my teams, I go back andforth between Middle Blocker and Opposite hitter. I am both well-rounded on thecourt and in life. Throughout school I have always been a highly motivatedstudent athlete, challenging myself and working to achieve the best gradespossible each semester. I play highschool volleyball in the fall/winter and club volleyball in the spring andstill am able to maintain my grades and be involved in numerous school andcommunity clubs and activities. Balancing my school and athletic schedule isimportant to me and I continue to maintain the status of being an A'B honorroll student with a 3.5 GPA.
At my high school in Montgomery, I ampresident of the Future Farmers of America, member of the Junior Civitan Club,Student Ambassador, and a member of the Park Crossing Varsity Volleyball team.At Park Crossing, I am a third year Agri-Science student working directly withanimals and volunteering at a local veterinarian clinic. I am involved in community activities throughBridge Builders of Alabama, a two-year program that works with high schoolstudents to develop future leaders who will lay aside individual, social, economic, and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all. Inaddition, I have been recognized by the Central Montgomery Optimist Club for mystrong leadership skills and nominated to be a part of atwo-week Global Leadership Training camp south Korea for A-KEEP, for Alabama highschool students and teachers to enhance leadership traits while in South Korea.
Volleyball has always been a sport I’ve loved. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about whatskills I can bring and the skills I can learn from being a part of your University’steam in the fall of 2016.
