My name is Imani Lee, and as an overview of my story, I am 5’6”, I have been a starter on Glen A. Wilson High School’s varsity volleyball team in California for three years, and I am currently an opposite at Tstreet Irvine. I can play any and all positions, and with my dreams of playing college volleyball constantly on my mind, I have so far earned 2nd-team all league freshman year, 1st-team all league this year, MVP 2x, became a manager for my school’s frosh-soph and junior varsity teams, and helped my club team earn a spot in the PVL.
Despite my challenging height, I’m touching 9’6” and have a 28” vertical. Academically, with my 4.33 GPA, I want to pursue a career as a private investigator, and I hope to accomplish this by attending an institution which has a strong reputation in the field of criminal justice or psychology. I am looking for a school that challenges me both academically and athletically, am hoping to attend a Division II or Division III college, and am willing to explore any additional interested schools.
Volleyball has undoubtedly transformed my mentality, and I’ve obtained the outlook that all of the times when I didn’t want to work but kept going were the times where I experienced the most monumental growth. My commitment, dedication, and confidence, both on and off the court, separate me from the rest, but my hustle, drive, and ceaseless practice and progress are what keep me ahead. I am extremely athletic, fast, and driven, and I believe I’ll contribute so much positivity to any team. For many years now, playing volleyball while furthering my education at a collegiate level has been a dream of mine, and I cannot wait until the day when this dream becomes a reality.
