Jacqueline Smith '24 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to attend a college that has a good program for my likely major of sports medicine as well as to play volleyball all four years. I believe that I'm a good candidate for a D1 volleyball team as I have a good command of the court while I play. I can anticipate plays and know what's coming next. Court awareness and a true love of the game makes me a good player and teammate. I'm very outgoing and passionate on the court and anyone who watches me will recognize that instantly. 

I'm also a swimmer and am on a club swim team. I've been playing volleyball since I was nine-years-old but I've been swimming on a team since I was four-years old. During swim season, I swim six days a week and that helps me with my overall fitness and endurance. I also played club soccer for six years. I stopped playing in June of 2021 to focus solely on volleyball. I do not consider myself to be just a volleyball player, but an athlete because I can excel at whatever sport I play. I have a love of all things sports, but especially volleyball! 

Academically I am also very solid. I've been maintaining a 4.0 and above GPA since my freshman year. I'm fortunate to go to a college prep high school that has a rigorous academic curriculum which I know has prepared me well and will allow me to maintain an upward trajectory in my academics while I'm in college.
