I love volleyball. I am a setter who thrives on competition and lifting others around me. As the fifth of six children, I have been raised in a team environment having to learn to get along with others all the time. Having played many sports (including quarterback on a boys football team), I came to appreciate volleyball most when I was really young while watching my mom play in her alumni games at LMU. I love the speed, energy and passion behind the sport.
I am very competitive in all that I do and volleyball is no exception. My teammates have always looked to me to provide a “spark” during matches. I don’t consider myself a vocal leader but I lead by example and effort. I want to give 120% at all times and am truly happy coming off a court sweaty and exhausted. There are few balls that I cannot get to and turn into positive plays. I consider my bruises from diving and sliding as badges of honor. Volleyball has provided me a tremendous platform and outlet but has also provided great friendships and bonds with my teammates and even other players.
In the future, my plan is to be an entrepreneur and own my own business in the floral or plant industry. Business Management would be a logical major with studies in agriculture, horticulture and environmental sciences as a bonus.
My goal is to play at the college level at a school that will help me grow in all areas of my life. Ideally, I want a school that has a team that competes at a high level, offers majors in my area of interests, has a coach that pushes me to be better and surrounds me with like minded teammates that I will develop life-long bonds with.
