Caroline Risenhoover '20 Recruiting Profile

I have a passion for volleyball and would love to continue playing at the college level. I am in my 4th year of club volleyball. My club team finished last season ranked 3rd in Division I in Colorado.  Currently, we are ranked 4th in Division 1. My hitting percentage for the season so far is .471; in our most recent tournament it was .559.  I would describe myself as a positive, coachable, encouraging, and hard working player. I have played almost every position (including: libero, ds, outside, right side, and middle)  so I am very flexible and happy with wherever I am on the court. When I started my first year of club I was 5'0 libero. Over the past 2 years I have grown over 10 inches and I'm not done yet! I started the position of middle hitter in the 2017/18 season and it seems to be a great fit for me. In both school and club season I led my team in the highest number of blocks, and in school I had the highest hitting percentage and overall kills on my team (even higher than outside hitters). I am very fast and have quick reflexes. I can see the court well and place balls and I have a great vertical. I am a multi-sport athlete including track, swim and golf.  In my off season, I regularly train to improve my conditioning and agility. I take my role as a student seriously, taking as many honors/AP/dual credit classes as possible.
