Personal Statement
Throughout high school I have always been indecisive about what I wanted to do when I graduate from high school. But I have always known that I have wanted to play volleyball in college, that was pretty much the only thing that I was sure about.
My sister is my idol she has encouraged me to come out of my shell and make me push myself to be the best that I can be. She has helped me become the person I am today. She went to college and played volleyball. When I saw the difference between high school and college ball the speed and atmosphere of the game was amazing. I knew at that moment that I wanted to continue to play volleyball after high school.
Yuma Colorado is a small town located in northeastern Colorado. Over the past few years we have been very successful in our woman's sports. Our girls have made it to state volleyball for the past 6 years. Out of those 6 years we have gotten one state championship and 3 state runner ups. I was apart of two of those state runner ups in 2016 and 2017.
I have been lucky enough to be apart of two amazing programs during my high school career. One being my high school team and the other being my club team. Both my club and high school team push me to be my best, I am so grateful to have such amazing friends, teammates, and parents though the good and bad times. I would not be as improved as I am today without them.
From starting off as a setter on C team my freshman year, to becoming a middle hitter on JV, and a right side on varsity my sophomore year. My junior year I was a middle hitter on varsity. I have come a long way from my freshman year and I will keep improving throughout the rest of high school and hopefully college.
