I started playing volleyball in the third grade because I had a friend that was playing and we wanted to play together. Quickly, I fell in love with the sport and wanted to continue even when my friend became interested in other sports. I love the rush I get for getting a big block or kill, the feeling of pride that overcomes me when I learn a new play and execute it during a game, and I cherish the lifelong friendships that I have made through the sport and the camaraderie I have with my teammates.
I made my high school varsity team as a freshman and earned a starting position my sophomore year. During my sophomore year, we won our conference, finished third in the state and I made an All-Conference team. My junior year, I made an All-Conference team again and was named one of the top twenty volleyball players in the state.
I take pride in my academic career and I look forward to challenging myself at the collegiate level. I am currently taking AP courses and honors classes. I currently have a 4.2 weighted GPA and I have been named to the distinguished honor roll. I am scheduled to take the SAT in the spring.
