Summer Latimer '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Summer Latimer. I'm currently a sophomore at Northeast high school. I first started playing volleyball in 6th grade, for my middle school volleyball team. After my first season I couldn't get enough and begged my mom to sign me up for a team. Unfortunately, we were too late tryout for an indoor teams in our area. Luckily, we were able to find a beach volleyball club (BeVolley Academy) that would allow me to join late. From there, I played beach for 2 years. Along with my 7th grade school season (pre-Covid), and started with a beginning indoor club (South St. Pete Storm). Where, I have been playing ever since. As a freshman, I was originally the libero for J.V. but, was later invited to be libero on varsity. I am now a sophomore and playing varsity for my second year.

I hope to continue to grow as an athlete and a student college. I am currently taking all honors and dual enrollment classes. My academic goal for high school is to graduate with my A.A. I'm a dedicated person on and off the court. I have learned so many things from volleyball (many things I can't think of off the top of my head). Such as, team work, how to build strong relationships, leadership, etc. I have been the team captain of my club team for 4 years. I feel that I am very coachable, responsible, dependable, and have the will and determination to do what is necessary academically and athletically. I prefer the southern region but would be open to any region as long as it fits my academic and athletic needs. My education is something that is very important to me.
