Throughout high school I have been actively involved in athletics and my academic focus. I have contributed to the community by helping in a soup kitchen my 8th grade year in our school basketball program. I also have volunteered my time making pancakes at a local church. While I enjoy acknowledging these accomplishments, I must say my true passion was playing volleyball and my dream was to play volleyball at a collegiate level. I am a hard worker who is determined to accomplish anything I put my mind to in order to see myself grow and succeed not only as a person but also an athlete. I am involved in playing club volleyball and whenever my coach gives me constructive criticism on something I need to work on to benefit myself as a player, like tightening my core when I hit or block for example, in the next breath I am determined to do just that. In the past 3 years I have spent my time playing club volleyball for Rockford Volleyball, Where my team has qualified for the Girls Junior National Championship for 3 years in a row now. Playing such skilled competition has helped me want to improve my skill and benefit me as a player to work even harder to achieve my goal playing college volleyball.
