Candace Yates '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Candace Yates, and I’m an middle blocker/ hitter for the East Saint Louis Flyers. I’ve been playing volleyball since the seventh grade.  My brother inspired me to play the sport.

I’ve recently joined a volleyball club. My volleyball club has helped me with my skill all around the court. It’s also helped me with my social anxiety. I’m usually not that good around others, but once I adapt it’s cool. I love to compete and be challenged. I take criticism very well. When I’m striving to learn something, I will keep trying unlit I’ve reached my goal.

I’m looking for high leveled volleyball and academics. I take honors and AP classes. I’ve also been accepted to SWIC two year program for my associates degree in science. As of now I have an 4.3 gpa out of a 5.0 average. I work really hard to get to where I am now with my academic performance. I don’t mind being challenged with my studies.
