Personal Statement
My love of volleyball started at an early age. Volleyball gives me an opportunity to be a supportive member of a team as well as master technical skills on the court. I show a lot of enthusiasm while playing. Not only did I make varsity during my sophomore year but was blessed to receive the "Navy & Gold Award". This award is goes to "the athlete who best represents Norwell Volleyball on and off the court".
Unfortunately, my junior season was cut short by a back injury that forced me to miss the last three weeks of the season. At that time, I was leading my team in kills and was second in blocks, but had not played in enough conference matches to be included in the voting for conference awards at the end of the year. I am currently working intensely to get my body in peak condition for the winter club season at Summit City Wave.
My future goals are to attend a college where I can continue to challenge myself athletically, intellectually, and spiritually while pursing a degree in the health sciences field.
