Volleyball is something that I am very passionate about. I love the many challenges that come along with it. There is always new skills to learn and many different ways one can help their team. In academics, I have a similar mindset; I love to constantly learn and pursue the rigorous classes. For my school, I take every opportunity I get to take and Honors or Enriched class because I love how they dig deeper into the learning and challenge the student. That is why I am looking for a college that will challenge me to grow as an athlete as well as a student.
Through volleyball, I have learned the importance of a positive mindset and mental toughness. It is something that each of my coaches throughout the years has instilled in me, therefore one of my strengths. In tight situations I have been taught to remain calm and to continue applying pressure to the other team. After I was injured in the first tournament from my 2022 season, I was unable to play for the remainder of the season. This only made my passion for volleyball grow tenfold and increased my drive to improve my skills. From this I understood on a new level the importance of giving my best effort to always grow as a player.
