Personal Statement
Volleyball is my passion, couldn't imagine life without it. It has been a positive outlet for me. I love utilizing the sport to give back to kids in the community and utilizing it as a tool for developing other skills that are much needed in life through my summer mentoring program. I like to consider myself a great utility player, wherever I'm placed on the court I will deliver, it's part of my determination genetic makeup. My goals are to pursue pre-med or engineering or incorporate the two together. My grades are another reflection of my determination to excel in life and give back. My mother , who is battling Lupus , is so strong and courageous, making a way out of no way for me and my sister and she is my inspiration. She gave me the nick name "DQ" , Drama Queen, since I was seven. When I first started playing volleyball , because she said I was so dramatic , Miss Priss, wouldn't dive for a ball to avoid getting my knee pads dirty and now she sits in the stands with her I Love You hand sign she does and tells me to bring the drama or turn on DQ. Have me on your team and I will positively turn on DQ, bring the volleyball drama queen😉
