My name is Annika Roberson and I am a 6'2 sophomore opposite from New Orleans, Louisiana. My goals for college are to play somewhere that does not only excel in athletics, but academics as well. I currently maintain a 4.39 GPA and work just as hard in the classroom as on the court. To me, the most important aspect of a volleyball program is the culture. I want to play at a college that fosters a positive team environment and helps me grow as a teammate.
When I was three years old, my family and I moved to Indonesia, where we lived for six years. When we moved back, I started playing volleyball at school. At first, volleyball was just a fun game to play with my friends, but the more I played, the more my love for the sport grew. I was determined to become a better player, so I started dragging my parents to the yard and forced them to toss a ball at me. I would spend every extra second laying in bed setting or hitting a ball against the wall (which was always met with complaints by my older sister). My best attribute is my work ethic, and it has formed me into the player I am today.
Currently, I play for NOLA volleyball club on the 16 Alyx/Marissa National team. My tournament schedule is up to date, and I regularly upload new highlights to my video page.
I can't wait to see where I will end up playing in college,
Annika Roberson
