I started my club volleyball journey at the beginning of third grade, and I have been playing ever since. My main position is libero/DS, however I have experience stepping in to play setter, and am always there to help my team in any way they may need. In 2019, I attended the USA Girls Future Select High Performance Skills Camp in Nashville, Tennessee, and was invited to attend the CHRVA NTDP Accelerator. Another big honor I have received was winning the “13U Open Best Passer” award at the Capitol Hill Classic Volleyball Tournament in DC in 2020 volleyball season. This past club season, my team placed 9th/87 teams in the 16 Patriot Division at USAV Nationals, and this past high season my team fell in a close 5 set match in the Maryland 1A State Championship. These successes came just after tearing my ACL in 2022. Overcoming this challenge has made me a stronger play both physically and mentally, knowing how important it is to be thankful for the opportunities presented to us.
My collegiate goals and aspirations for volleyball is to play at a university that will allow me to further my volleyball career at a high level down on the southern part of the east coast, has a positive team culture, values mental performance training, and challenges me to become the best athlete and person possible. I do everything in my power to make sure that I represent myself, and who I play for in the best way possible on and off the court. I also love to do community service and help others in need especially with my teammates. I am different from other recruits because I am a strong communicator on the court to help my teammates around me be successful, I have mental toughness and smartness on the court, I have a strong knowledge of the game, and I have a persistently strong work ethic. I love the feeling when my team gets a kill off a spot that I told them was open, and also watching my teammates shine when I do my part to make their jobs easier on the court. I also stand out academically stand out by having a 4.06 GPA while being enrolled in all honors and AP classes. I am smart on the court, I know a lot about the game of volleyball since I began playing at such a young age, and I give everything that I do my all. I feel that I am a very coachable athlete since I always have to desire to better myself on and off the court. I hope to become a Physicians Assistant, and I am looking to start my path to becoming one by majoring in a field that is closely related to that profession. I am looking forward to taking my volleyball career to the next level!
