Elle Eggleston '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi. I am Elle Eggleston and am a student at Berkshire School, class of 2024. I started playing volleyball since 6th grade at Aspen Middle School in Aspen, CO. I loved it immediately and ended up playing not only all through Middle School but also Club Volleyball with the Maroon Belles in the Roaring Fork Valley. When Covid hit in 2020, the town shut down. Remote learning and the cancellation of all athletics was announced. I decided to look into Boarding School August of 2020 and was accepted to start that Fall 2020  at the Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA. They offered in-person learning as well as athletic programs were on...limited schedules but we were active. Last year, 2021, they hired a new Head Volleyball coach, Coach Tyler Smith. He reenergized the Volleyball program and has continued to grow it and make it more competitive. As a player I have grown and continue to learn and improve my skills. My first season with Coach Smith I received Most Improved and this season I received MVP. In the summer of 2023, I am attending IMG Academy to practice and specialize even further my volleyball skills. Although there is not a club team near Berkshire School, I cross train throughout the year with weight training, running and playing two other sports: ice hockey and lacrosse. I am active and committed to volleyball. I am a versatile player and have played all positions but my strength is as an outside hitter and defensive specialist.
