Personal Statement

Dear Coaches,

I have been playing volleyball since 5th grade and have learned a lot in my volleyball career. One thing that I have learned is that you can always learn more. I want to learn as much about volleyball as I can, and they only way I can do that is to play on high level teams with high level coaches.

My goal is to become the best volleyball player I can be, not the best player ever, but to be the best me. What makes me stand out, is that I am willing to do whatever it takes to become the best player I can be. I have been wanting to play college volleyball for so long now, and on my road to get there I have trained for countless hours and pushed my self and aspired to be the best.

While striving to reach the goal of a college athlete I have maintained a 4.0 in school.  Academics is also very important to me, I do not let my sport jeopardize my school life and vice versa.

What makes me stand out from other recruiters besides my skill in volleyball is my heart. My team is the most important thing to me, even if we are loosing, as long as we are working together and being a team, that is all that matters to me (but I also love to win to).

One of the main reasons that I play setter,  is so I can make whoever I am setting to look good. I want to help my team in anyway possible because when one person on the team  does something good, the whole team does something good. Team is a "we" sport and not an "I" sport, and helping our offense make kills brings me so much joy...because when that happens, it means everyone came together to make that happen.

I am a good candidate because I will work hard, I ALWAYS show up, and be a team player because I love this sport and the people in it.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
