Caitlin Schneeweis '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Caitlin Schneeweis, and I am an outside hitter in the graduating class of 2019 at Duluth Denfeld in Duluth, MN.  This will be my 4th year playing volleyball for both the high school and for Minnesota North at the Nationals level.  Volleyball isn't just a game to me, it has become my lifestyle.  It has driven me to push myself as an athlete to reach for the stars, and among those goals is to play collegiate volleyball.

As an athlete, when I step on to the court it's all about effort, intensity, and leadership.  Off the court, athletics have taught me how to balance athletics and academics, both very important aspects of my life.  Academically, I am still undecided on a major but am exploring my interests with different courses in my junior and senior years of high school.

Talking specifically about the upcoming high school season, I am very excited for 2017.  Individually, Breakdownsports Volleyball's most recent publication has recognized me as one of Minnesota's top 75 juniors, as well as named me to the preseason All-Section team of 7AA.  I was voted a 1st team all-conference player last year as a sophomore as our high school team finished 12-14.  Many of my teammates have improved by playing high level volleyball this offseason for Minnesota North, and we believe that Denfeld is going to have a great high school season with the collection of talent and experience we have coming back.
