Caitlin Bakken '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Caitlin Bakken. I will be a 2023 graduate from John Marshall High School in Rochester Minnesota. I played for Southern Minnesota Volleyball for five years and then decided this year to play with my high schools club team as I will be a captain for this up coming fall season. I thought it would be the best thing to do so that we can build a strong, solid team for the fall.
Last year I started to go to my schools weight room everyday to get stronger and faster as I am very determined to keep improving. I have grown to appreciate how it has not only physically improved my ability to play but also has shown me I can push myself harder then I thought I could.  
My GPA is currently at 2.5. When COVID hit I was struggling with how to react to everything going on around me and my grades ended up dropping. I am currently working hard to get my GPA up as I am not happy where it is at.

It is a dream of mine to play college volleyball and I will continue to work my hardest  for what I want to achieve.
