Personal Statement
Volleyball has been my passion since my first practice in 3rd grade. From that point forward I decided to exceed expectations and train adamantly to be one of the best. 2014 was a FANTASTIC year for our high school volleyball team. I was awarded a 2014 High School All-American by Prepvolleyball.com. I was awarded 1st team All-State, 1st team All-Region, and 1st team All-District. We ran a 5:1 offense with me as the setter. Our team won the Missouri Class 3 State Championship, we went 43-0-1 and set a new state record for most wins in a volleyball season in any volleyball class, MaxPreps awarded our team the medium size school National Team of the Year 2014, and our team was ranked by MaxPreps as the 51st volleyball team in the nation out of 17,000 teams. I was 1 of 41 finalist for the 2014 PrepVolley.com National High School Junior Player of the Year Award. It took a lot of hard work for our team to have such a memorable and successful year. In 2015 I was honored as 1st team All-District, 1st team All-Region and 2nd team All-State. In 2015 I was also one of the finalist for the 2015 PrepVolleyball.com Andi Collins Award which recognizes the best senior setter in the nation. I have been blessed to have very good coaches to train me and I normally practice/play year around and regularly attend GLV Sports Performance setter camps, University of Missouri camps, Nebraska Huskers setters academy and team camps. I have participated in three (3) USVA Girls Jr National Championship tournaments (2011-Atlanta, GA, 2013-Dallas, TX and 2015 New Orleans) running a 5:1 offense. I believe there is no limit to what I can accomplish if I have determination and refuse to give up. My goal in life is to surprise people. I want to be part of a team that gets excited from wins and learns from loses. I am looking for a team that has players that want to win and personally improve their skills at every practice. Over the years as a setter I've learned that a leader must take charge but be open to suggestions. Volleyball has become a second nature to me and each game defines who I am; a fighter.
