As long as I can remember, volleyball has been a part of my life. Some of my first memories are being in the gym or on the grass with my mom and her friends while they played. From there, I started playing AAU as soon as I could. For three years, I traveled 96 miles to Sheridan, WY to play on a travel team. I was fortunate enough to get to travel to Nebraska, Colorado, and Utah to compete in larger tournaments.
I’ve always been a shy person, so sports have been helpful with making friends and building leadership skills. Although, I am not the tallest player on the team, I have a mighty heart. I didn’t start out as a setter, and have worked very hard to improve my game throughout the years.
At this point, I am not sure where my path will lead. I know that I want to continue to play volleyball and continue my education.
