Playing volleyball in college will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity impacting the rest of my life! I want to play competitive college volleyball while earning my college degree and experiencing life as a college athlete. I am interested in a science major and want to help people through my future degree and work.
I am athletic and am learning all the skills needed to be a versatile player. For my club team, I am a right-side and outside hitter. Before this, I played in the middle position. For my high school team, I will play various positions to support the team, aiming to be solid in all rotations. Off the court, I have been working on my serve-receive and passing to better contribute to my teams. I am a supportive and encouraging teammate and have been told I am a coachable player who is not afraid to make mistakes.
My first sport was tennis, and I began hitting balls when I was 3 years old. I took tennis lessons and played JTT tennis until 6th grade, when I discovered volleyball. What volleyball offers that tennis does not is being part of a team and working together on running plays. I love being part of the team and supporting others. After my first experience playing at AAU with my 12s volleyball team, I decided to focus on the sport of volleyball. Club volleyball has taught me accountability and helped with my organization skills and time management. I have played travel club volleyball since 6th grade and am dedicated with the goal to be part of a competitive college team.
I know it will take hard work, dedication, and passion to earn a position on a great team, and I am focused on my goal: to play volleyball for a winning team at a great school with awesome coaches and teammates!
