Ava Stratman '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball when I was twelve years old and immediately fell in love with the game. As a former gymnast, I am used to being in intense and high-pressured situations. I want to play volleyball in college so I can continue doing what I love at the next level. I want to be able to push myself and teammates to be the best volleyball players we can be.

I was one of the few club experienced players as a freshman on varsity and had to step up to be a leader, especially as the starting libero. I have always been competitive no matter what sport or activity I am doing. I want to be the hardest working player out there. I am very coachable and always want to do what is best for my team.

Gymnastics has taught me a lot about dedication and managing my time as a student athlete. I study and work hard in school just as much as I do on the court. Even as a multisport athlete I have been able to maintain a high GPA. I do not want my volleyball career to end after high school. I cannot wait to play at the next level!
