Rylan Hite '26 Recruiting Profile

I have played several sports during my life and none have ever clicked with me. However, as soon as I started playing volleyball I knew it was for me. My goal is to play at a higher level in college. I also want to attend a college that has excellent academics. I've been told I am a hard worker. I always put 100% into everything I do, including doing the dishes or shooting skeet with my dad, or working hard in class. I have a competitive personality and always want to win at everything I do. I’m a good fit as a middle blocker and I enjoy playing outside as well. 

As a natural leader, I am the captain on my school team. My leadership style combines aggressiveness and humility. I always push my teammates to do better in everything they do. I am a compassionate and hardworking player on the court. I always encourage being loud and to keep the energy up. I work out and train during my off-season and I also play club ball.  This school season, I had an opportunity to play six rotations. Before that, I never played back-row. I have grown so much in every position because of the experience I had this season. I have a high work ethic on the court and also in my academics. I enjoy learning about things that I can apply to real life. I either want to pursue a career in business or athletic training. I continue to push myself in every single class to do the best I can. I am known for never giving up. Whether that is in the weight room, in the gym, or in class, I am dedicated until I get it right. I put my energy into improving myself every day. My favorite activity to do outside of volleyball is playing the piano and singing. It is something I can come to whenever I want to clear my head. I am excited to exceed at a higher level in college and exceed in my academic career.
