Stephanie Sylvester '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Stephanie Sylvester, I have been playing volleyball since the age of 8 when I played on an 11 age club team.  I am a 5'8" setter and successfully run a 5-1 and/or 6-2 offense depending on what the team needs.  I attend St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, Ohio and will graduate the year 2016.  This past high school season, I ran a 5-1 offense and our team was undefeated in regular season and made it to the final four in the State Tournament.  I ended the season with 740 assists; 9.7 per game which put me at #1 with assists in our league.  I received recognition as 2nd Team All Conference and Honorable Mention District Seven in Division I.  As a setter, I understand the importance of taking ownership of the court including excellent communication and timing with all my hitters.       

I currently play club volleyball at Toledo Volleyball Club on the 18-Elite team. This  will be my second club season playing at the 18 level.  My coach for this club season is Jeannette Abbott. 

I love to play volleyball and my dream is to continue to play at the college level.  I am hard working, dedicated and extremely eager to continue playing volleyball through-out college.
