Alaina Whitlinger '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Alaina Whitlinger. I love playing volleyball, making art, listening to music and making people laugh.  I'm a 3 year starting outside hitter in my junior year.  When I'm not practicing volleyball with my club or high school teams, I can usually be found passing and hitting a ball against the wall of my garage.  I consistently have the most kills on my team (including in our state championship last season), and was named player of the week by the Pittsburgh Tribune Review recently.  We're undefeated, ranked #1 in AA volleyball by the PIAA, and are working our way to another state championship this year.  I have a "never give up" attitude when it comes to winning and am good at rallying my team to dig out a of hole to get the win (including in our WPIAL championship game last year.)  In addition to being named best varsity hitter, I was named "best teammate" - team chemistry is very important to me.  I'm looking forward to playing competitive ball and making some life-long friends with my teammates in college, and I know I will be a great addition to any team!
