At age 11, while attending a volleyball camp for the first time, I fell in love with the sport. Every year since, I have played on both school and club teams. I've had many opportunities to serve as team captain. I always strive to lead by example, encouragement, and character, both on and off the court. Being a dedicated leader on the court and always aiming to play at a higher level is important to me.
Outside of athletics, I've had opportunities to strengthen my leadership skills at home and at school. As the oldest of six children, there are constant opportunities to grow in responsibility and maturity. At school, I serve as Secretary for Student Government and I am a member of the National Honors Society.
I value hard work and dedication which has allowed me to become confident in all positions. As a result, I have a powerful topspin and float serve. I have invested much time into the sport and the conditioning which accompanies it and I am willing and committed to the continuation of strengthening both physically and mentally to play competitively. While consistent playing is key on the court, I also see the importance of hard work in the classroom, which is reflected in my 4.0 GPA. My hope is to find a college where I can better the team both on and off the volleyball court as well as maintain high academic standards for myself.
