Personal Statement
Since the time I have started playing volleyball, I have always aspired to improve and advance my skills. As my play experience increased, I learned more and more about how important it is to be a leader. Your teammates need someone to rally everyone up and pick others up when they are struggling. I still concentrate on the stats and the number of kills I acquire but the thing I find most important is leadership. Leadership is something I always want to contribute to my team on and off the court. I live for the close games and thrive in competition. I am always aspiring to get better because I have always been underestimated due to my height. I leave it all on the court because every game could be my last game.
Although I have been told it will be hard, it has always been my dream to play volleyball at the college level. I will do everything in my power to achieve this goal, and if I am lucky enough to accomplish my dream, I will never take the opportunity for granted.
