I have always dreamed about playing college volleyball. I have been playing volleyball since I was 6 years old, coming with my mom to practices and games. I have learned a lot by being the water girl in elementary, watching and admiring players who played before me. Seeing them excel on the court from their work ethic and playing together as a team are some of the things that have stuck in my head of how I want to be as an athlete. My goal is to find a college where I can earn a good education, have a good bond with the coach and even more, my teammates. It is important to me that my teammates are like family to me.
I am a determined athlete, having goals and working hard to achieve them is something I enjoy. The greatest feeling is leaving the court knowing that all of my teammates worked hard together for what we accomplished. As a setter, I feel it is my job to be a leader of the team and get everyone excited, motivated and involved in the game.
I believe academics comes first so I work extremely hard in the classroom to keep my grades at the highest level I can. I have taken summer courses so I can work ahead in school so that I am able to take dual credit classes my junior and senior year in order to push myself academically. I am active in my church and enjoy doing community service projects to better the small community in which we live. The community is so supportive of me as an athlete, I want to be able to be a good steward and represent our community in a positive manner.
