Personal Statement

My name is Maddie Forbes. I am a junior at the Harpeth Hall School, an all-girls college preparatory school in Nashville, Tennessee.  I will graduate in May 2017.  My goal is to play volleyball at an academically rigorous college or university.

I am a very strong student with a 3.84/4 GPA, and my classes include Honors English III, Honors French IV, AP United States History, Pre-calculus, and Physics.

Volleyball has been an important part of my life since I began playing in 6th grade. I have played club volleyball since 7th grade, each year on the top team at my club (Ethos Volleyball Club) until I switched this past season to play for Alliance on its 16-2 team. While I played outside/opposite hitter for my club team at Alliance, I have been a varsity outside hitter since my freshman year at Harpeth Hall. I play all six rotations, as outside hitter and middle back.

Both my teachers and my coaches would describe me as a goal-oriented hard worker. I will bring those qualities to whichever college team I am fortunate enough to join.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
