In fifth grade, I played three sports. My height made me a perfect prospect for basketball, while my arm reach got me a spot as the first baseman on my softball team. Despite all this, I was drawn to volleyball, the sport that could engage my physical ability as well as my mental ability. Throughout the many years I have dedicated to club and school seasons, I have developed a growing competitiveness and excitement for the sport, as well as mental strength in face of failure. Most importantly, this sport has helped me develop irreplaceable relationships with my teammates, which I believe is truly the most rewarding part of the experience. Moving into college, I look to continue cultivating these strong bonds as well as to advance my skillset as a middle and right side, on and off the court. As in high school, I work hard to balance my academics, sports, and social activities, I hope to maintain and strengthen this stability in college while pursuing a biology or another STEM major on the premed track. At the end of the day, I will always remain loyal to the sport of volleyball and to the school I attend, becoming a valuable asset no matter what team I am a part of.
