My name is Hailey Vega. I am a three year varsity letterman at Edinburg High School and played the position as a setter those following years. I've been playing volleyball since I was in the third grade, but didn't become a setter up until my sophomore year. It was an important role and hard shoes to fill. Throughout the three years playing that position I learned a lot from my coaches and from my own mistakes. I worked hard every day to be the best setter my team could have, and a teammate to rely on. Some accomplishments that I gained include receiving 2nd team all district my sophomore year, 1st team all district my junior year, and setter of the year all district my senior year. I also got selected to play in the East vs. West all star game in my 6A division. I absolutely fell in love with the sport since I was a little girl and with the position I play. It has shaped me into the player I am today, it has improved myself mentally and physically and taught me many useful things. I would love to play the next level and do all that I could to at least experience it. I believe I have a lot of potential, spirit, trustworthiness and loyalty to offer, and I would gladly appreciate any opportunities I get.
