Personal Statement
I have been playing volleyball since I was eleven years old and this will be my 5th season playing club volleyball. I tried many sports before volleyball but once I stepped on the court, I knew this was the sport for me.
I know I have what it takes to help your team win. I am quick on the court and I work hard to get every ball that comes my way and even the impossible balls! I have gotten praised by my coaches for my ability to continuously talk to my teammates on the court and for always keeping a positive attitude. One of my strongest suits is being able to talk through difficult situations and facilitate communication within my team. As a left handed player, I played Right Side position for the vast majority of my volleyball career. I am a quick thinker and I am very smart about ball placement, hitting or bumping. During the last two years, I have also played as a defense specialist and as an all-around player. I am a very consistent and coachable player as well as a hard worker. I strive to give 150% every time I am on the court.
At school, I study hard and I am striving to improve my GPA. I also volunteer at the Humane Society and I am a candidate to receive my confirmation from St. Helen Catholic Church. I am an avid artist who loves to paint and use many different mediums to showcase my art.
I want to attend a college where my skills, abilities and experience on the court can be used to improve the team and where I can achieve my academic goals. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
