My name is Melissa Hadley. I am a sophomore at Arlington High School in Washington. I was a starting outside hitter on my highschool volleyball team and am currently playing for Seattle Juniors Volleyball Club. This year I was voted First Team All League and team MVP.
I started to play volleyball because that's what my sister played, and I wanted to be just like her. That desire to be just like my sister turned into something that I will never forget. That desire turned into love and passion for the sport of volleyball. It turned into countless hours of hard work and dedication. Having the experience of playing the sport I love, for as long as I have, has been one of the best parts of my life, and has turned me into the person I am today. Volleyball has taught me so many lessons whether it be how to work together with others to achieve a common goal or leading a team to success. Things that I value while on the court and off the court are attitude, coachability, and effort. I feel as these are essential to success on the court and in the classroom.
Although having some struggles with online school due to the pandemic, I am a dedicated student. I plan to major in either athletic training or nursing in college. I want to attend a college that not only challenges me on the court but in the classroom.
In my off-time I enjoy reading, hanging out with my friends, and spending time with family.
Thank you for taking your time to read this. I look forward to finding the right fit to continue my volleyball career!
