My name is Charmayne Aifili Fa'amausili, from Tacoma, Washington. I am of Samoan descent born and raised in the United States. Several different things within my life influence me both on and off the court. I believe in God first, family, and hard work. My faith in God has influenced my life by strengthening my character. I believe in my family who has always been supportive of me in school, volleyball, and other parts of my life. Finally, hard work has always been important in the classroom and on the volleyball court.
I am an outside/rightside hitter . I have been playing volleyball since I was eight and competitively since I was eleven. I train really hard perfecting my overall skills. I am a coach able athlete and able to play both front and back court. I can be shy, but when I step onto the court I'm a different person. I strive to encourage and challenge my team to be their best and expect the same.
Academics is a huge part of my search for a university. Playing volleyball is what pushes me to do well on my academics. I want to study different fields within the Biology majors. Marine biology and the study of animal science is what I want to focus on when attending college. I would also like to continue with obtaining my Masters and PhD in marine biology. Most importantly my dream is to play in college and continue playing professionally.
