I am a senior at Colony High School in Palmer, Alaska. I have wrestled since I was 5 years old. In addition to my passion for wrestling, I work hard to do the best I can in school, give back to my community, and I am an avid outdoorsman.
I have been fortunate enough to have had a successful wrestling career so far. The summer before my freshman year I competed and placed 5th in the Virginia Beach National Tournament. I have been a varsity wrestler all four years of high school , qualified for state the past three years, and placed 5th at the Hawaii State Tournament last year. This season I plan the place even higher in the Alaska State Tournament. In November, I won the Lancer Smith Memorial Tournament, Alaska’s largest all division tournament, at 152 and went 7-1 at the Northwest Regional Duals with 7 falls this December.
Off the mat, I am also a hard worker. In school, I earn good grades and I am enrolled in advanced math and science classes. I plan to earn a degree in one of those fields. I have a 3.3 cumulative GPA. At Colony High School I have a reputation for having a strong work ethic and good character. I have volunteered to coach with our local Freestyle Wrestling club for the past six years. I am a senior USA Wrestling Official.
I am excited to challenge myself at the college level and find a coach equally as excited to help me push myself and reach my goals.
