Hello my name is Jeremiah Vander Meulen,
Over the years I have participated in Karate,Track, Football, and Wrestling. Each sport has taught me lessons that I can apply to real life situations. Communication, dedication, mental strength, working with others, positive mindset, and self control are a few of this lessons I continue to improve on. Some of my strengths include being a coachable athlete, receiving constructive criticism, encouraging others, and taking any and every opportunity to learn and improve
Even though I have only been wrestling since 2022, it has quickly become my favorite sport. Wrestling gave me a whole different perspective of sports. What I like so much about wrestling is that when you step on the mat its you versus your opponent. No excuses, No blaming teammates, it's all about how you adapt and challenge adversity. It's a sport that requires you to really look at yourself, each match helps shape who I am and I will continue to work hard and improve.
I am responsible for making sure that I work hard to receive the privilege of a college education. My ultimate goal is to receive a scholarship to attend a 4 year university. I know the two best ways to reach that goal are Athletic and Academic scholarships. By positioning myself to receive one or both of these I hope to increase my chances to attain that goal.
