Hi my name is Logan Lau, I go to Mid-Pacific Institute, currently a sophomore, and a dual sport athlete for wrestling and Judo (currently a brown belt). I got into wrestling around the age of 8 years olds in 3rd grade for O2 Rhinos. Already signed up for jujitsu at the same place, when my dad heard about their wrestling program, and he signed me up. Since then, I’ve continued wrestling for its opportunities for college.
My goal for this year and next year is to be able to place in the national level tournaments and become a state champion. My academic goals for this year and next year academically is to raise my gpa to above 3.85.
Since an early age, I've competed in Judo at a national level before I even started in wrestling. Which allowed me to begin to understand the level of training, discipline, and sacrifice it takes to compete and place at national level tournaments. This mindset and understanding are why I think I was able to make sacrifices to train and improve. Showing in my results in the tournaments I was able to do well in such as, place in Tulsa Kickoff, Tulsa Nationals, Reno Rumble and win Reno Worlds to name a few. Which will carry me into my college wrestling and academic career, to be able to get great results if given the chance to.
