I have been wrestling since I was in 5th grade, and I have had a passion and love for the sport since my first practice. My career so far has been filled with a lot of great moments as well as some bumps in the road. I have had to overcome some reoccurring knee injuries that held me back from competing during my junior year and for part of my sophomore year. These injuries were small setbacks that served as motivation to rehab and get back to working for a state title. Even though I missed some in-season time, it hasn't stopped me from developing my technique and bettering my performance in any way that I can. I have had the privilege of wrestling for a successful high school team as well as to compete at some national level duals with my club team in the off-season. High level competition is important to me because it gives me a bar to set and pushes me to raise that bar as I progress in my career.
It has always been a goal of mine to wrestle at the collegiate level and to succeed at that level. . I hope to make a useful addition to a collegiate program and to make a name for myself as a competitor. I plan on doing whatever I possibly can do to assure that that goal is accomplished and exceeded. Along with my athletic college goals, I also want to achieve a Biology degree which will set me up for a rewarding career in the future.
