Personal Statement
Wrestling is a major part of my life, and has changed my attitude in many ways. I've been wrestling for the past 11 years, and I have continued to grow stronger and become a smarter wrestler. I learn from my mistakes, and continue to push myself, in becoming the wrestler I desire to be. I work very hard in the wrestling room and work on my shots over and over, as well as my third period endurance. My goal in wrestling is this: To continue to grow stronger in every aspect of wrestling whether it be my, strength, speed, technique, diet, or mindset. Out of the wrestling room, I am a smart academic student. When I am around other wrestlers, I get along very well and have good communication skills when speaking one on one. I placed 4th in junior states and 6th in middle school states my 8th grade year. My freshman year I was 32-9 and made my way to my regional tournament in my 2014-2015 season. If you watch me wrestle, you can see that I am a lot different from other wrestlers. I love pushing the pace. I'm constantly wanting to go full throttle non-stop the duration of all three periods. Pushing the pace is something I work towards most especially in neutral. In college I hope to achieve the same. I am willing to push myself and become mentally prepared and focused in collegiate wrestling. When it comes to wrestling, I am a mentally sound person, that has learned to never quit, no matter what.
