Jasper Armstrong '25 Recruiting Profile

Wrestling has been one of the best influences in my life thus far. The sport has shown me that leaders do not have to be the loudest on the mat or the one receiving all the hype at school. Wrestlers who achieve success are built through confidence on the mat, strength, both physically and mentally, perseverance, along with a healthy dose of patience. All these qualities that I possess have been nurtured through the 11 years I have been wrestling and I am so thankful for all my coaches who continue to walk alongside me.

Wrestling has also shown me what it means to be a part of a brotherhood. There really isn’t any other sport or athlete that understands what it is like to be out there under the lights all on your own. No one gets cutting weight quite like a wrestler. But the wrestlers who I have competed with over the years understand the grit we must hold, the self-control we need to display, and the family we need to have surrounding us after a match. I have been blessed with a band of brothers over the years to commiserate with and share this awesome sport with.
